What will happen at my appointment?

You will begin by seeing one of our skilled ophthalmic technicians. They will check your vision by asking you to read a letter chart, before taking OCT scans and photographs of your retina (back of the eye). These tests are quick and painless. After this, you will see an ophthalmic practitioner who will examine your eyes on a slit-lamp (microscope). The practitioner will explain their findings and discuss treatment options with you. If treatment is required, in most cases this is in the form of an eye injection. With your agreement your first treatment dose will be administered at your first appointment.
